A Message from Our Founder

I want women and girls to trust themselves sooner.

This mission is personal to me. My own experiences taught me how easy it can be to overlook danger or manipulation when no one has taught you what to recognize. Looking back, I know that if I had understood certain signs earlier, I would have trusted myself sooner.

That is what Save a Woman Save a Life Foundation—SAWSAL—is here to give women and girls: awareness before the moment and the confidence to listen to themselves. Seeing the impact of last year’s Young Women & Teens Self-Defense Event solidified why this work matters and why we had to push harder.

I want every woman and girl who experiences SAWSAL to leave with one belief: I can trust myself. Because recognizing potential danger early can change a decision—and one decision can change a life.
